Kerry is a doggie I dogsit once in a while. He is a 10 year old chihuahua and miniature dachshund mix.

He has a sad story.
He came to NY from Japan when his owner whose son is his owner now passed away suddenly 2 years ago. Since then he has been cared, loved, and given so much attention, but about a year ago, they found he has a heart problem. So his owner is trying not to leave him alone for a long time.

Since the owner's wife is away in Japan for a while, I was asked today to watch Kerry for a day because his dogsitter couldn't make it.


ケリーちゃんは、時々ドッグシッターしにいくミニチュアダックスフンドとチワワのミックスの１０歳の男の子です。

ケリーちゃんには悲しい過去があります。
もともと今の飼い主さんのお母さんといっしょに日本にいたのですが、そのお母さんが２年前に急死され、一人息子である今の飼い主さんがNYに連れてきた子なのです。お母さんが亡くなったときは、３日一口も何も口にしなかったそうです。やはりわかるんですね‥。
そして今ケリーちゃんは飼い主さんとその奥さんにかわいがられているのですが、１年くらい前に突然倒れて、心臓の病気があることがわかり、それ以来、飼い主さんはなるべくひとりにしないようにしているとのことです。

そして今日は、奥さんが日本に行っていて、いつものドッグシッターさんが来れなかったので、私がかわりに呼ばれたのでした。
