i won the award?? that's awesome.

I woke up in the afternoon and checked email. And I saw there was one from my professor for web design class.

It says "Congratulations!!!!!! Keiko! You won the competition!" I thought it was a spam.

The story is,,, my website (the very first website I made for the class) won some sort of competition and I got the award for Most Promising New Web Designer. What.. what.. what? I didn't quite get it first but it was a competition held each semester by or for the web hosting company we were forced to buy a domain from, and the professors pick some good ones and submit them to the company, and such award is given to the best one. I suppose.

So she said I got some money for it. I don't know how much but I don't expect much. It's just a competition in the school so it's not a big big deal, but yeah, it's awesome. I'm the most promising new web designer for some reason.

I was disappointed by the shitty grades I got this semester, so it'll compensate for it somehow. Oh well.

午後起き抜けにメールをチェックすると、ウェブデザインの教授からメールがありました。

「おめでとう！！！！！！ケイコ、あなたが賞を取ったよ！」と。スパムだと思いました。

実際、それはクラスで作ったウェブサイトがあるコンテストで「最も有望な新人ウェブデザイナー」というのを取ったらしいのです。最初よくわからなかったのですが、そのコンテストというのは毎学期、クラスで無理矢理買わされたウェブホストの会社と学校がやっているもので、教授たちがデザインのいいやつを選んでその会社に送り、一番いいのにそういう賞が与えられるという話です。

ということで、教授いわく、いくらか賞金が出るとのこと。いくらかはまだ知りませんが、ま、学校内のコンテストなので大した額ではないにしても、うれしいです。最も有望な新人ウェブデザイナーになりました。

今学期はかなり面白くない成績ばかりだったので、これで少しは気が晴れたかも。
