So, ok, I lost the internet connection again for a while. People upstairs who are sharing the line with me and my roommate tried to change the modem, and now it's back again. FINALLY!
And now I'm trying to update all the lost dates.
1/17, it's Lamin's party.
Lamin is my previous roommate, where I used to live. Even after I moved out, we still keep in touch with each other sometimes. He is very smart. Anyways, He sent me a text message and said he's djing at a place called Bowery Poetry Club for "relief for Haiti." I had never seen him djing before even he invited me for some of that kind of parties, so I went there and it was fun! All the admission went to donation, and it seems they raised pretty good amount.
One thing I wonder, though, is it "right" to party for raise money to help people in such a devastated situation?
うちは上の階のひととインターネットのラインを共用しているのですが、彼らがいきなりモデムを換えるというので、再びしばらくインターネットにつなぐことができませんでした。やっとうまくいった模様です。
ということで、アップできなかった日のぶんを今一生懸命‥。
ラミンは、シェラレオネ出身でとても頭のいい子です。前のアパートに住んでいたときのルームメイトのひとりなんですが、いまだに時々連絡を取っています。その彼からいきなりテキストメッセージで「今日ハイチのためのパーティをするから来て」と。
DJをしているので、ときどきパーティには誘われていたのですが、いままで行ったことがなく、とりあえず今日くらいは行っておこうということで、ローワーイーストサイドにあるBowery Poetry Clubに行きました。けっこう楽しくて、行ってよかったです。アドミッションはすべてハイチの救済のドネーションに行くらしく、いい額が集まったようで。
しかしふと思ったのは、そういう「救済」のためにパーティとかしていいんですか、ね。
